Macros are an action or a set of actions that you can use to automate tasks. Macros are recorded in the Visual Basic for Applications programming language. Students will learn to record and edit macros.
Outlook 2007 Staying Organized with Outlook: March 5, 2009, 1:30pm - 3:30pm
Learn different techniques to stay organized in Outlook. Create folders for email messages, color code different types of information and setup reminders.
Outlook 2007 Working with the Calendar: March 19, 2009, 10:00am - 12:00pm
Learn how to use Outlook’s calendar feature. Students will create and edit appointments and events. Students will also learn advanced calendar features for sharing and sending invitations.
PowerPoint 2007 Animations and Multimedia: January 8, 2009, 1:30pm - 3:30pm
Learn to insert different multimedia elements to presentations. Animations can be created to enhance text and objects. Movie and sounds can be created and inserted to give additional slide information.

The most important thing next to the actual content is the design of PowerPoint presentations. Adding different formatting to presentations can enhance or ruin a presentation. Learn to design effectively in PowerPoint.

This course will teach students to work with Word styles to create consistent formatting that is easy to create and modify.
Word 2007 The Mail Merge Process: December 18, 2008, 10:00am - 12:00pm
Mail Merge is a great tool to use for creating large quantities of letters or labels. Students will learn the mail merge process to develop letters and labels to a list of different contacts. Students will also learn to work with different mail merge tools to help customize letters and labels.
Word 2007 Working with Long Documents: January 25, 2009, 10:00am - 12:00pm
Learn to work with long documents to create a table of contents, an index and use referencing tools. Students will learn to add cross-references, footnotes, endnotes and bookmarks to their documents.
Microsoft Office 2007 and PDF: January 8, 2009
This course will show features available in Office 2007 to create PDF documents. Learn tips to correct from Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Each Office product has its own tools that can help in creating PDFs.
PDF for Legal Professionals Workshop

Easel Solutions has secured grant funding and will be offering the Acrobat & PDF for Legal Professionals course at no charge to Nebraska law firm staff members. The class will be held at our Lincoln office on December 12 from 8:30am-4:30pm with an hour lunch break. Our instructor, Angie Okamoto, is an Adobe Certified Expert and Certified Instructor in Adobe Acrobat and LiveCycle Designer. This hands-on course will focus on features widely used in the legal profession as well as general functions and techniques used in Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional:
Acrobat for Legal Professionals is a 1-day hands-on course in which you will explore the Acrobat work environment and practice creating and manipulating Portable Document Format (PDF) files. The course covers in detail, how to set up and track a review process and modify settings to produce high quality results. You will also learn how to add security to PDF documents such as restricting access and distribution of confidential information. Additional topics include the following: electronic filing, redaction, bates numbering, document searching, retrieval, archival and more.
Since this is a hands-on course limited space is available on a first come first serve basis. Please contact Stacey Sell as soon as possible if you or anyone within your company would like to attend so the space can be reserved.

This Acrobat User Group meeting will discuss new features of Acrobat 9. Last meeting we had an overview of the new features but this meeting will focus on Flash capabilities within PDFs.
New Office Location!
Our new office is located in the Creamery Building of Lincoln’s Haymarket district. Our street address is: 701 P Street Suite 301, Lincoln, NE 68508. All Lincoln classes are now being held at this location.
Student Parking Information
Students may park in the Lumberworks Lot (under the bridge) at 7th & O Street or the Iron Horse lot at 7th & Q or the Haymarket Garage at 9th & Q Street which is about four blocks from our office. A Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard) is required to park in these lots. The cost is $3.00 per day. You will not receive a receipt or ticket until you exit the lot. Students may also park on a first come first serve basis in the metered lot on the west side of the Creamery building. Most stalls are two-hour meters but directly in front of the old Crawdaddy’s building there are five-hour metered stalls available. The cost is 50 cents per hour. Bring your quarters!
The Creamery Building has two entrances. The main entrance is off of P Street on the north side of the building. The elevator to the third floor is near the back of the building, follow the main hallway past the staircase to the elevators. The staircase is to the second floor only. You must take the elevators to get to the third floor. The West entrance is off the metered parking lot. There are two double doors on this side of the building, use the south set of doors. After entering, take the elevators located just inside the door, to the third floor. Handicap access is available at the west entrance of the building.
